my recording studio...

helping people get noticed.

Imagine for a moment …My Recording Studio, Inc. looks like an upscale lounge/night club designed by Peter Max and Ikea meets techno world and just opened its 50th portal at another shopping mall across America and set for global positioning in every major city. It’s a media rich environment and gathering hub energized by creative artists, students, and your average Joe or Jane job seeker looking for that extra stand out and get noticed edge in the job market. Catering to three major target markets… everyone that has lined up for American Idol over the last eight years wanting to record themselves on a DVD and actually get to hear and see themselves before getting punished by Simon, every student applying to universities and colleges that need that extra “hey look at me” DVD to compliment the application in hopes of being accepted by that admissions director that just took notice of your confident personality that just said “our school needs students like this one“, and then there is the smart job seeker that knows first impressions and appearance mean everything in today’s world and chances are that just sending or posting a resume like everyone else will not get that interview call especially when the decision maker has to read through 100s and sometimes 1000s of the same old resume format.

It’s not a world changing idea but good enough and simple enough to change the way people get noticed and that’s why it will work. Making a difference in how people get noticed and changing many lives.

The concept is as simple as the old photo booths where two friends once shared a seat and got a strip of black and white photos together. My Recording Studio, Inc. offers sound proof booths for people to step into and record a personal song or use karaoke options, create a personal bio, a sales marketing pitch, an audition, a will, a message to send overseas or just to sing Happy Birthday and send to Grandma, add to a Hallmark card …anniversary, Valentine’s Day, and Christmas cards just got a little more personal and memorable. The cost is about the same as a movie and popcorn these days, but probably more entertaining. It’s easy to record your personal DVD demo with the latest technology tools available. Other value added services enhance the experience such as multiple distribution channels to launch ones career to talent scouts, casting agents in the film, television, music and radio industries. Professional staff is on site to assist those that are still accustomed to VHS and cassette tapes. Another great feature offered is for their partnership affiliations that have normally been accepted as web based internet company’s is now a physically REAL place for REAL people to walk into with the likes of a Google lounge, Myspace mirrors, Facebook library, the Monster bar and the Youtube.com wall of 40 flat panels showing the latest videos, along with retail sales of ipods, books, Hallmark cards, etc.

What a great idea where everyone now has a place to go and utilize today’s technology to help them get noticed or use as a sales and marketing tool. It’s simple, it’s fast, it’s fun and entertaining, and it could possible make the difference of getting noticed People use Facebook.com, Myspace.com, and Youtube.com for self promotion to get noticed so why not do something that will get you noticed in front of decision makers, university admissions directors, job hiring authorities, and talent scouts, casting agencies …these are key people and decision makers that can and do determine one’s future. Singers, actors, comedians can now get their demo and register it, trademark it on the spot, and have the option to launch into several exposure channels through our well recognized name branded partnership affiliations within the media and entertainment industry. University bound students can now include a brief 2-3 min DVD bio to show and share their personality, achievements, goals, and desires utilizing audio and visual that appeal to more senses of decision makers.

“Today we get 8,000 applications and enroll about 800. It’s a lot more competitive. But our craft is the same - you try to envision an applicant as a student here, which is different from anywhere else. I am looking not only for qualifications but for fit, curiosity, passion - how much do they want to be here? What’s hardest, I suppose, now that the University is harder to get into, is that we can’t take as many chances on a marginal kid as we used to”, stated Daniel Reily, Admissions Counselor from a prominent university in Portland, the University of Portland, Oregon in 2008.

Some things are better said and understood from ones spoken words and visuals rather than written or typed on paper.

The swelling population of 18-year-olds will peak 2009 with the largest group of high school seniors in the nation’s history, 3.2 million, are to graduate.

According to Monster.com 16.4 million new resumes posted, averaging 40,000 new resumes every day.

Careerbuilder.com says 300,000 employers posted more than 1.5 million jobs on their website. Not much has changed in this industry since the resume was invented and its about time someone stepped up to the plate to revolutionize their business better for both the job seeker and employer.

Job applicants can record a 2-3 minute sales/marketing/pitch DVD to prospective companies and stand apart from the rest. Mail it out or upload it with your resume to one of our exclusive partnerships. The competitive advantage of getting noticed and making that first impression just got better than the old school way of using key words on a resume. Its time to take this industry to the next level and to help those that want to get noticed.

As a professional retained headhunter for over 12 years specializing in the electronic distribution industry throughout North America, I never once saw the face of any candidates contacted or placed by me. According to my database of over 250,000 contacts and well over 1000 placements …that’s a lot of people and I have seen a lifetime of resumes to the point where they all started to look the same. No personality, charisma, or character ever came off on a resume, but I did developed quite a talent that could identify and qualify someone on the phone in a matter of minutes by what they said and how they said it. Lets face it …first impressions and appearances DO mean everything in today’s society and it could mean the difference between the job you wanted and the job you’re stuck with. I have always had a knack for helping people, whether it be to help leverage their career, or just offering a better idea or more simple way to get what they want or need. Its what I do, I’m an idea guy that thinks way outside of the box and has trouble drawing between the lines.

“There is so much competition in the world that if you have something to sell, no matter what, you have to get noticed.” Richard Branson

What people don’t realize is that the most valuable things people have to sell are themselves and in a matter of moments, if delivered and understood in the right fashion, could make a considerable difference in ones life. Tell me that people will not spend $20 bucks for a simple brief DVD sales/marketing bio or demo to enhance and increase their percentages to get noticed?

University admissions departments can be the decision maker of your future so you better have a game plan and do something different to get noticed otherwise you are in a stack of 27,278 applications if you are applying to Harvard this last year and they only accept less than 3000 new students per year, so unless Daddy has a big bank account to make a substantial donation to build a new wing on the business department you better include a brief personal 2-3 minute DVD that grabs the attention of the admissions director telling them who, why, what, where, and how about yourself. Get your personality and desires out on the table in a few moments otherwise its community college and nightmares about wearing a name tag at work until retirement. It is scientifically proven that the more senses touched the more involved our decision making process becomes and when one appeals to another’s audio and visual senses instead of them just reading about you on a piece of paper you have just improved your chances. When you wanted Dad to buy you a new ipod you did not write or email him a letter, you got in front of him, smiled and asked him with a nice voice and you got it …didn‘t you? It’s that personal touch that comes across from a DVD that will make the difference between the university you really want to attend and the college that accepted everyone. We are all not the same so why do we continue to follow what everyone else is doing?

The main question is …How does My Recording Studio, Inc. make money? The same way Facebook.com, Myspace.com, and Youtube.com make their money, but do it better. Take notice they are all internet web based companies. There is nothing physically real about them to the consumer other than a computer connection until now. Advertising revenues AND retail sales of products, services and merchandise, as well as internet sales. Monster.com, and Careerbuilders.com are two of the top in the job/resume banks in the industry and yet they continue to use the same old format since inception and the executives are probably still driving their 1993 Volvos. it’s a safe bet and why change something that works. My Recording Studio, Inc. will be introducing a simple format that will allow those uploading their resume to also include their DVD sales/marketing bio to enhance the viewing pleasures of HR staff resume searchers and corporate recruiters that are to lazy to pick up a phone for direct recruiting cold calls that make a true headhunter. Hallmark cards, talent agencies, casting calls, contests drive customer traffic by major corporate sponsors. For example: Coca Cola is looking for a new jingle for an upcoming commercial …enter the contest free at all My Recording Studios. Celebrity appearances for each store opening. Did I mention our locations are in shopping malls and don’t you think that the shops would love to drive more business their way especially now.

My Recording Studio, Inc. is getting endorsements and encouragement from entertainment media celebrities and major universities as well as creating an competitive interest level from several major media companies that see My Recording Studio, Inc. as the next big idea like a Facebook.com, Myspace.com, or Youtube.com. The company is presently poised to entertain and select a few unique partnerships amongst major competitors in the media, entertainment, and job bank industries. They know that having a foothold diversifying themselves from being just a web based business into a new market platform as well as new storefront exposure in every shopping mall across America as well as a global presence will increase visibility to their brand name companies offering the best strategic growth strategy in a partnership will have priority. Shopping malls are not going away anytime soon and people still like to physically get out and shop. Service based businesses provide 40% of the US GDP. The timing to execute on this business opportunity is right now.

If your attention and imagination have been captured for just a moment and you can actually picture potential with unlimited possibilities for our company then I would greatly value your opinion, advice, and direction of our next steps. A detailed business plan will be made available for those ready to add a financially successful company to their business investment portfolio. If open for discussion I welcome and would be honored to a conversation. If not an idea worthy of your time I understand and respect your decision and I would appreciate your recommendations of someone as good as yourself that would like to help build a company, and have some fun doing it. I am looking for a team that I can collaborate with, share thoughts and ideas with, and share in the excitement of creating a product and service that will help many. When it is all said and done … a pay day that would be big enough to allow me to head back up to Alaska and run naked in the woods chasing bears.

Thank you for taking a moment out of your day to imagine with me. I hope I painted a picture worthy of investment in resources to make this idea come to life.

Yours Respectfully,

…and not one single reply back from any CEO or New Business Development Team. If this is the way corporate America is answering the needs of the people in the USA then our forward minded thinking has been lost and our economy is doomed.

I need your help. Your time is more valuable helping to build companies and helping people get the phrase "Your Hired!" rather than ...your fired.

Building companies that help people is the show that I want to watch and be a part of and show the rest of these companies how to do it.
